Things to do on a Team Day

Team days are a great way to motivate your staff members.  It can bring you all together, in an environment that isn’t in the workplace and let you find out more about one another.  It’s also a great way to show your team that you appreciate them, and to find out skills that they have that you didn’t necessarily know about before.

Escape Rooms

In an escape the room game – it can challenge your brain to think outside the box.  You usually need to try and find clues and solve puzzles.  The exciting bit is you are normally against the clock – think the Crystal Maze.  They have some fantastic technology to create a fully immersive experience, so you will feel as if you are in another world.  It means that you need to work together as a team to try and find the answers.

Cook Together

Have you ever had a cook-off in your office?  You can have practical cooking lessons where you are shown how to create a specific dish, and then of course you get to eat the results after which depending on how you get on could be the best part.  You can go in teams, and let the chef decide which one is better!  Of course, there is also the option to have a cheeky tipple whilst you are enjoying your class.

Board Game Challenge

There is nothing more fun than board games and turning it into a team day can let you see who’s the most competitive in your team. There are lots of ways you can do this. You can get life size games that you can play outdoors, or else you can enjoy some indoor games in your office.  You can rent some fun ones out, or else you can all bring in your favourites.

A School Sports Day

We all loved sports days when we were at school, there’s no reason why they can’t be enjoyed at work.  You can go outside and enjoy egg and spoon races, wheelbarrow races, tug of war and lots more.  It’s the perfect way to have fun outside on a nice hot summer’s day.  It’s also a fantastic way to inject some energy and exercise into the workplace.

Go-Karting

Go-karting is great fun – and something that would make a top team day. It has adventure, excitement and you can put yourselves into teams and compete against one another.  To make things a little more interesting, you can even give out a prize to the team who wins.  On your marks, get set, go.

We all love some corporate fun, it can break up the working week – and build some fantastic professional relationships.  They don’t need to eat into the company finances too much either, they can be done on a budget which means that you can hold them fairly regularly.
